Ground Light

Another kind of outdoor lighting known as "in ground lighting" is set up underground, in a hole cut into the the ground. The fixture's top is flush with the ground, creating the illusion of a buried light. While above-ground lights may be chose outside as well, their installation results in a different aesthetic than in-grade lighting due to the lack of a continuous appearance. Above ground lights, as the name shows, are luminaires that, once placed, stick out from the ground and aren't as easy to hide. Walkways, roads, and landscaping elements including trees, gardens, hardscape, and water features are among the many outdoor spaces that benefit from in ground lighting. Since in grade lights are flush with the ground, they are less vulnerable to damage from foot traffic, lawnmowers, and other outdoor machinery, which is a major benefit. On top of that, the majority of underground lighting fixtures are completely waterproof, so they won't break down no matter how bad the weather gets.
